Conference Logo Design Student Competition

From 17 to 24 October 2011 at Ogarev Mordovia State University a student contest to design a logo of the conference was held. The competition objective was to raise awareness and interest among the students for the conference, problems and prospects of the Bologna process.

The main objectives of the competition are the following:
- selection of the best logo design that to the highest extent reflects the aims and objectives of the conference;
- increasing interest and awareness of the students about the Bologna process;
- student involvement in the process of conference organization;
- disclosure of talents among the students, student involvement in the process of conference organization;
- promotion of initiatives and development of intellectual capacities of students.

The major part of the contestants were the undergraduate students following "Marketing" and "Quality Management" programmes. More than 20 logo designs were applied to participate in the competition. The logo designs were evaluated by the jury according to the following criteria: the plot and the compositional embodiment, the distinctive design, creative and individual approach to the idea, requirements conformity, the quality of logo design. The winner was Elena Lushenkova – a 6th year student of "Quality Management" programme of education. The Conference logo proposed by her appears now on the conference information materials.

Elena Lushenkova was awarded a diploma and was invited to attend the conference.
