Dr Stephen Gilroy

Dr Stephen Gilroy In a career spanning 30 years Mr Gilroy has been involved in all the parameters of retail and corporate banking ranging in scope from the junior entry position to the management aspect. As a member of the Irish Bank Officials Association Mr Gilroy has been additionally active in dealing with personnel disputes and remuneration issues in the HRM field.

He specialised as a Securities Consultant in relation to appropriate requirements in respect to security for loan finance advances to customers and enabled, through human resource management skills aspects, the identification and development of professional expertise in the employee base in this sector. This has also involved producing specialised publication material in this crucial area of banking. As HRM has been a long term interest of Mr Gilroy he additionally functioned internationally in a Special Negotiating Body for the European Works Council drawing up specific terms and conditions for all Danske Bank Denmark subsidiaries and in the process dealing with intercultural differences across a range of staff and cultures from many different countries.
